New label based in Richmond, Virginia, Acute Noise Manufacture, kicks-off with these four filthy tracks by Horrid Peace. A band featuring members of Bato, Destruct and Violent Outburst, collectively enthralled by the stinkier, patchier, style of UK punk from the mid to late 80’s: Antisect, Ripcord, Filthkick, and early Doom especially. Horrid Peace have nailed this style and sound with absolute crusty precision, like a John Peel session circa 1988 – engineered by the late Dale Griffin, natch – and it is very fucking good. Mixed and mastered at Dead Air Studios by Will Killingsworth.
