Los Angeles’ Militarie Gun return for the first part of a two-part EP series, following up their 2020 7″, My Life Is Over. Like Drug Church, they excel in reinventing past sounds- with influences cited as being Born Against, Fugazi and Guided By Voices – with an end result that sounds very today. Alternative rock that is unashamedly hooky and melodic, but also too rough-edged and shouty to be considered commercial. Suits me just fine. I love this band. Essential not just for fans of Drug Church and Fiddlehead, but also Regional Justice Centre too.
