FORESEEN – “Untamed Force” LP

Helsinki Crossover, the third full-length helping of Finland’s Forseen and a follow-up to 2017’s Grave Danger LP that was released by Svart and 20 Buck Spin – making this a pretty impressive scoop for London’s Quality Control Records (marking not just one of their strongest releases so far, also one of their most evil sounding, too). Where a lot of contemporary crossover bands settle for a close-scripted version of Power Trip, these guys have forged their own path, and while all the obvious traits are to be found in abundance (screaming solos, headbanger-riffs, thunderous, top-speed beats, and desperate vocals laden with a crusty-punk aggression), the sound overall has become more and more their own. No one else sounds quite like this. Unwholesomely good.
