Rash Decision – “Year Of The Silence” LP
Angry hairy Cornishmen (owff, there’s a thought to send a chill right down to the bone) with their third full-length LP. A barrage of hardcore punk that is influenced by crossover/thrash metal. The riff will set you free (or will at least get you to the other side of Plymouth). I noticed that band’s own ‘FFO’ mentions Zeke, Municipal Waste, Cro-Mags, DRI, Crumbsuckers, MDC, Iron Reagan – all of which is pretty bang-on. Includes a booklet with both lyrics and an accompanying explanation – not necessarily something I would want every band to include with their record, but in the context of what Rash Decision are about – thoughtful, switched-on dudes, heavy with righteousness – it’s a welcome addition. A collaborative release between around 76 different record labels.
