All Structures Align – “Details, Drawings, Distance and Departure” Double LP
An American import that compiles together the two full-length albums by this UK post rock ensemble: their debut full-length, Details And Drawings, and the second album released six months later, Distance and Departure (both released by Somerset’s Wrong Speed Records in 2022). A.S.A. were formed by two brothers, who previously worked together, quite a long time ago, in the band Nub (a band I righty or wrongly associate with the London/Chicago scene that revolved around Southern Records back in the late 1990’s) and they are joined by fellow musicians whom I instantly recognise from Leeds math rock outfits Polaris and Bilge Pump (and in turn, Baby Harp Seal). FFO Seam, Rex, Mogwai, C-Clamp, June Of 44, Swell etc. etc.
