Unwound – Self-titled LP
Released in 1995 on Honey Bear Records and their own label, Punk In My Vitamins, a couple of years after the debut album, Fake Train. This album was essentially a compilation of early Unwound recordings: the two Kill Rock Stars 7″ EPs and the Gravity Records 7″, plus five more session outtakes (1992-1993). Tracks that are wilder, faster and more abrasive than the Sonic Youth influenced indie rock that the Olympia trio became known for by the mid 90’s. Sharing DNA with Rites Of Spring, Drive Like Jehu and early Trail Of Dead. A 12″ that successfully documented their fiery hardcore origin.
