ULTRA RAZZIA – “Jusqua’au Bout” LP

 Translating from the French to “Until The End Of The Night”, the second full-length from this Montreal-based street punk band. I haven’t heard from Warthog Speak in sometime, and it seems like they’ve been stashing-up the goods, waiting for full fermentation, and then letting things explode. This album is essential for fans of Fuerza Bruta, Syndrome 81 and Impotentie – hitting the right balance between sing along melody and gruff, street-stomping aggro. The French language lends this an essential air of menace and thuggish grit – everything that the sleeve’s artwork promises: plenty of messy violence, done to cheers of playful attitude and reverie.
