From a corner of the world we hear far too little from – what’s up Ireland? – Dublin’s Special Branch auspicious arrival on the world’s stage appears to be a vinyl version of the 5 track demo that was released in 2021 (information is scarce). Gruff, stompy, noise-punk from ex members of Disguise and The #1’s that, on a deeper listen, reveals a few half-concealed hard rock riffs beneath the reverb and distortion. Thin Lizzy lives on.
