Tramadol – “Demo” 7″
A self-titled demo from a Yorkshire band who share members with Frisk, Powerplant and The Wound. Originally released as self-titled tape cassette/demo by Donor Records in October 2021. Realising the blissfully destructive merit of these five tracks Crew Cuts have done the obvious thing and banged them onto some vinyl. You can understand why. Had to be done. A superb wall of distorto noise, with vocals that have the same desperate rage of early From Ashes Rise, and guitars that are overdriven to the insane levels of classic Japanese noise-punk (Framtid, Zyanose, Disclose etc.). Overall, a very tasty variation on the theme of Lebenden Toten and Physique. Maybe these guys aren’t aware of Antisect’s In Darkness… album, (it was 1983, after all!), but, regardless, Tramadol are the natural inheritors of that encrusted crown.
