PUP – “Pup” LP
Toronto punks who play it loud, loose and tuneful, something like Propagandhi/Avail shook-up in a Titus Andronicus style, and with the pile-on group chants of Iron Chic. Pup is their first album, released in 2014. High-wired and sarcastic in a typical pop-punk fashion, but then also by turns, just like Jawbreaker and Jeff Rosenstock, able to become introspectively mature and insightful in ways that can knock you for six.
