Iron Chic – “The Constant One” LP
Melodic punk from Huntington Station, New York. Formed back in 2008, they released the Shitty Rambo 7″ the next year, then their debut full-length, Not Like This, in 2010, followed by this LP in 2013. The recent album, You Can’t Stay Here, is a great album, but really, the likelihood is that The Constant One will remain Iron Chic’s all time best… so bouncy, and sing-along-anthemic. How thay manage to put a deft spin on pathos and moodiness – making it joyfully uplifting – is bloody amazing.
