Kilslug – “Answer The Call” LP
A Boston, Massachusetts area sludge punk band originally active between 1982 and 1988 with several different line-ups and closely tied to Upsidedown Cross and Groinoids. The dirgey, no-wave end of the hardcore spectrum, along with Flipper, No Trend, mid-period Black Flag, and heading in the noise rock direction of Kildozer, Halo Of Lies, God Bullies etc. A band who probably confused the hell out of Jerry’s Kids/Slapshot fans back in the day, but my guess is they grew to cherish Kilslug two or three decades later.
