Description

Joan Of Arc – “A Portable Model Of” LP

The debut album by the Chicago-based indie/experimental/post-hardcore outfit, released not long after the split of Cap’n Jazz – A band that set the early nineties alight amongst the fans within DIY punk community of the day of leftfield/emo hardcore. Members Tim Kinsella and Jeremy Boyle continued the legacy of Cap’n Jazz with this new project (that went on to thrive prolifically ever since), adding to the emo-punk/indie pop jams (that they shared with label mates the Promise Ring/American Football, and also the formative years of Modest Mouse), some of the experimental/weird-jazz/post rock that was fermenting in their home-town scene (the likes of Gastr Del Sol, Rex, The Sea And Cake, Tortoise etc.)
