Smash-bash-crash egg-punks outta’ Tyne and Wear arriving with a 5 track debut EP. Unrestrained energy, and bursting-out with a very decent pop sensibility – of a type that could align ’em with umpteen UK indie bands, but, despite a recent session for 6 Music, this one’s ours – the angry noise freaks; not theirs – the tepid indie fans, who in another time and era-of-error actually bought copies of NME and Melody Maker (and now, of course, avidly listen to 6 Music). In demand already, The Wrong Speed crew must be wringing their hands in frustration realising that a pressing of 200 copies is going to be way too few. I have been sent five copies, and I’m keeping one of them…
