The experimental rock band’s 14th album, released to coincide with their 20th anniversary. Always evolving and changing – with an entirely new line-up for this recording session (located somewhere in the mysterious depths of Somerset) – yet remaining instantly recognisable as Hey Colossus. Dense, multi-layered guitar riffing, trance-inducing beats, a sense of genre-bashing freedom, and an enigmatic vibe of something esoteric and obscure (with themes of Avalon folklore and ghost mythology. I dig it). These eight songs seem more centred around the vocals than before – occasionally reminding me of Interpol, yet another flavour to add to the bands’ endless list of ‘sounds like…’.
