Hail Mary – “Thank You For Teaching Me To Hate myself” 7″
A recent lost-under-dust warehouse find, original copies of a great hardcore 7″ released in 1999 in a run of 1000, each with a hand screened sleeve and one-side etching designed in his distinctive style by Neil Burke. A welcome return of an old L.O.T. favourite, and at a ’90s price too! Hail Mary were from Albany, New York and were always something of a younger brother to Born Against – a continuation of that particular style of hardcore punk: articulate, angry and intense. Members were tied-in with various other bands of that scene and time: Conniption, Devoid Of Faith, Drop Dead, Monster X, and then later-on, Limp Wrist. And, no disrespect to Limp Wrist, but they never wrote a song as powerfully vitriolic and piercing as the title track of this dynamite 7″.
