Grails – “The Burden of Hope” LP
The debut album by the instrumental experimental rock band from Portland, Oregon. Originally released Neurot Records in 2003, and, along with Redlight from 2004, representing the band’s “phase one” – these first albums were recorded in a live studio setting with minimal overdubbing, an approach far from the dense psychedelic production of the records that would follow (e.g. Burning Off Impurities, Doomsdayer‘s Holiday). Includes a guest appearance from Steve Mackay of The Stooges.
