The Japanese rock-drone-metal band are back again with a new release for 2022. A third instalment in the Heavy Rocks trilogy of albums that began in 2002, then repeated in 2011, and now here we are, with the same variation on sleeve design, but goodness me, looking great this time around in deluxe leopard print. Described by the band as both a celebration of their 30th anniversary and as part of a continuous evolution in their music. Less stoner metal than before, leaning more towards heavy metal and hard rock, all delivered with an over the top punk energy. An album that goes everywhere, sometimes slightly cartoonish, often a bit demanding, but consistently very wild and very kick arse.
