Vatican Commandos – “Hit Squad For God” 7″
The first EP – originally released in 1983 on Pregnant Nun Records – by one of the first-generation suburban hardcore bands of the Connecticut scene, along with Reflex From Pain, Violent Disorder and (Ray Cappo’s) Violent Children. Pretty generic, lo-production, teen hardcore; the band band have perhaps become more known for featuring a teenage Moby on guitar – while not helping to make it an essential listen, it does make for an interesting footnote in the history of early US hardcore.
