Power-violence is a rigid discipline, you stick within the perimeters set by Infest, Neanderthal, No Comment and Crossed Out, and any deviation, off you go, cast into a sea of endless grindcore/fastcore/whatever-core records that no one really asked for anyway… If power-violence is practised correctly in the 21st Century it will sound like Wound Man. An additional nod of recognition towards their local Massachusetts’ legends Siege is completely acceptable, in fact, highly commended. As too is the well measured influence of doom and sludge metal. Well done to Wound Man. Top marks. New belt, and a warm handshake.
