Radio Raheem do it again, digging-up a long lost, highly desirable gem from the hardcore-punk vaults, and of bands that you never even new existed with recordings that you never knew you wanted. Such is the case with these teen delinquents from New Jersey who began in the late 1970s playing frequent gigs at legendary New York City dives like Max’s Kansas City and CBGB. Classic no brains proto hardcore, the debut self-titled 7″ kick-started Mutha Records, who, appropriately enough, also released Chronic Sick’s Cutest Band In Hardcore E.P. – which is exactly the band that The Worst remind me of (and I like Chronic Sick lots ‘n lots). Along with the debut self-titled 7″ EP this compilation also includes their Expect The Worst 12″ (which takes things up to a level of speed and precision that matches early Gang Green), along with an 8-song live set from 1979. Also includes a 12-page, 12″x12″ booklet containing rare flyers and photos, plus newly-penned liner notes by vocalist Do-It.
