THE FLEX – “Chewing Gum For The Ears” LP

A furious rush of bloodied-knuckle hardcore energy from this Leeds outfit who top-up their punk-rock income by playing in countless other bands, too many to mention, but needless to say, they know what they are doing and how to deliver it. Helped along by the studio skills of James Atkinson of Voorhees/The Horror/Gentlemen’s Pistols (blimey, them drums do pound hard – good job!). Succinctly summed-up: “The Flex have understood the assignment; produce an LP that looks and sounds like everyone’s favourite UKHC band, whilst pushing themselves to the limits of their impressive technical range and sophisticated palate. LS4 still kicking in your door”.
