Maladia – “Sacred Fires” 12″ EP
A new punk band from London, this debut EP blazes with a desperate urgency and unhinged mania. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jonah Falco at Fuzzbrain Studios, in the heat and isolation of August 2020. A heap of different influences are apparent – all of them noisy, some of them from the more exotic and esoteric end of the anarcho punk range – the sound of an early Icons Of Filth EP leaps out at me most of all. This is right alongside Bad Breeding, Subdued, Vile Spirit etc.
