The Suspects – “Voice Of America” LP
An album that originally came out on the band’s own label in 1994. The Suspects were a rabble rousing punk band of a style that had become increasingly rare, not just globally, but especially in their home town of Washington DC. Founded by original Scream drummer, the late, great, Kent Stax, they combined a love for classic ’77 UK punk with the aggression and power of the DC Hardcore classics. Recognising an over-looked gem from the recent past, in 2016 Grave Mistake and Six Feet Under teamed-up to repress the album, on vinyl for the first time, along with the tracks from their 1994 debut self-titled 7″. And thankfully a few copies of that pressing still remain in availability.
