Repulsion – “Horrified” LP
One of the pioneers of death and thrash metal, a black mass, unleashed upon the unsuspecting masses in 1986 from their hometown of Flint in Michigan. With unrelenting blast beats and some of the most deranged lyrics and vocals anyone had ever heard, Horrified, their debut vinyl, was released in Europe in 1989 by members of Carcass on their Necrosis Records label (previously, in its 1986 original format, it was only available as the Slaughter Of The Innocent tape cassette). A genre pioneering masterpiece that greatly influenced Napalm Death (who, of course, covered a Repulsion song for their first John Peel session) along with Entombed, Unseen Terror, Cannibal Corpse and countless other hyper thrash grinders.
WARNING: the last three copies of this LP have suffered the dreaded seam split (couple of cms on the top edge), not too severe, but the price has been reduced accordingly. Check photo.
