I was with Poison Idea from War All The time up to Blank Blackout and Vacant, but on the release of We Must Burn my interest had dropped off. I don’t think the lacklustre UK tour of 1993 helped in this matter. However, I now realise this album is way better than I remembered it to be. Maybe the remastering job has kicked new life into it (it sounds great!), or maybe – this is just a theory – Vinyl Solution released poor quality vinyl(?). At the time, in 1993, I thought the only good thing about this album was the G.I.S.M. cover. Hey, turns out I was wrong. Despite the high price, die-hard Poison Idea fans do need this reissue. Alternatively, make a point of enjoying the bandcamp version.
