Paint It Black – “Paradise” LP
A hardcore revelation of the mid-2000s – fast, melodic and intense. Fronted by Dan Yemin, best known for his guitar playing and song-writing for Kid Dynamite and Lifetime, creating a sound that was a mix of those prior projects, injected with additional hardcore punk influences (Bl’ast!/Torches To Rome) plus lyrics that delved deep into the world of global (and personal) politics. Paradise is the band’s second LP from 2005 and featured Andy Nelson, currently of Ceremony, and Dave Wagenschutz of Lifetime/Kid Dynamite in the line-up as well. Recorded and mixed by J Robbins in Washington DC.
