Mudhoney’s second album, recorded in 1991 on low-quality tape via an 8-track desk because they knew how to get the job done right. Speed-freak energy and snotty garage punk with a bit more variety of songs and styles compared to their self-titled debut album from the year before. A lot of grunge was a bunch of flannel munchers down-grading their Bon Jovi aspirations for a new, wagon-hoping look and style. Whereas, Mudhoney were a gang of punk misfits who cherished their roots and understood their righteous mission. Calling them grunge is an insult. Sort it out Wikipedia.
