Long Knife – “Rip City Bonerpunk Classics Vol. 1” LP
It has been over ten years now, Portland Oregon’s Long Knife have been blasting out their well-crafted hardcore punk, and this compiles all of the 7″ tracks amassed during that tenure, starting with 2014’s Possession, then their split 7″ with Japanese hardcore legends Forward, followed in turn by the Beach Impediment EPs: Sewers Of Babylon and Night Of The Hunter. Plus a few previously unreleased covers to help make it more appealing to the completists: songs by External Menace, Execute and a rendition of The Blood’s classic Megalomania! (and that has got me excited, what a bloody marvelous song!)
