Inclination – “Unaltered Perspective” LP
A debut full-length of tight, super-polished metallic-fury from this straight edge band from Louisville, Kentucky’s hardcore scene. Successfully refining the combined styles of Strife, Foundation, One King Down, Throwdown, Marauder, Hatebreed (etc.) into something leaner and smarter. Inclination are not offering-up anything that is breathtakingly new or ground breaking, at all, but that is no problem because the intention and the delivery is so flamin’ spot-on. Pick apart some of the names involved and it all starts to make sense: the insanely beefy production is by Andy Nelson of Weekend Nachos; the politically inspired vocals of frontman Tyler Short are accompanied by guest contributions/back-ups from Indecision’s Tom Sheehan, One Step Closer’s Ryan Savitski and Russell Bussey of Magnitude; the concentrated, complex riffing comes from guitarist Isaac Hale of Knocked Loose; and the huge muscular beats are courtesy of Harms Way drummer, Chris Mills. Good hardcore record for 2022.
