Description

Heroin – “Discography” Double LP

A complete discography that features thirty tracks, eight of which are previously unreleased. Scholars of screamo should consider the first 7″- All About Heroin, released by Vinyl Communication in 1991 – to be the starting point at which all screamo began. Playing hardcore with the intensity of Rites Of Spring, only faster, wilder and spazzier, the San Diego outfit defined the DIY spirit of that decade (and that’s despite the fact they disbanded in 1993). Along with the first 7″ this contains all of the band’s out-of-print self released vinyl (on Gravity Records) – the self-titled 7″ of 1992 and the self-titled 12″ of 1993 – along with compilation tracks, and the unreleased songs that they recorded at the infamous Inner Ear Studios in Washington. Includes a special zine with tons of photos and liner notes by Sonny Kay.
