Last Agony – “The Imminent Slaughter” LP
Formed in a freezing hell of Toronto, Canada in 2017. Ex members of Absolut, IDNS and Endprogram, with the aim of creating devastatingly fast, raw, and unhinged metallic hardcore punk. A debut album, that follows on from an earlier 7″ on Phobia Records. And it’s a firestorm of frenzied, rhythm-heavy, punk-metal that echoes the past in the form of classic early 80s blackened punk – early Napalm Death, Doom, Anti-Cimex, Repulsion etc. – mixed with the pulverising sonic assault of today’s Plague Years, Enforced, High Command, Fuming Mouth etc. Savage, very, very savage.
