Detestation – self-titled LP
From a time before the familiar Portland, Oregon noise-punk sound, that we now take for granted, was established. Detestation were the original trail blazers. A classic from 1998 of anarcho-hardcore punk. Socio-political fury that was a mix between Nausea & Sacrilege with added influences from old Swedish bands. Their interconnected Portland lineup contained ties to Defiance, Masskontroll, Resist, Hellshock, and Severed Head of State, among others.
