The Chicago pop-punk trio recorded this debut album in the summer of 1998, at a cost of $900 over a course of five days. Not bad for an album that went on to sell over 200,000 records globally. One of the giants of American melodic punk, not so much the thinking person’s Green Day; more, the drinking-and-then-thinking person’s bar stool companion. Catching some of the introspection and sensitivity of the emo scene that would have surrounded them, Alklaine Trio, injected it with a load of fired-up punk energy, plus a load of dry wit and playful pathos. With the addition of memorable tunes, it was a terrific combination. Asian Man Records now presents a newly remastered version to celebrate this classic record. This is the 1-2-3-4 Go! Records exclusive version on clear and magenta colour-in-colour vinyl, hand-numbered out of 1,000 copies.
