The third album by the Chicago melodic-punk trio fronted by Matt Skiba, and, after leaving Asian Man in 2000, their debut for Vagrant Records. A transitional time when the band were taking their first tentative steps into rock/pop territory; while still remaining – like Dillinger Four and Jawbreaker before them – the sharper, thinking-person’s antidote to a music scene that was saturated with the banality of Blink 182 and Green Day.
