Two things that are immediately apparent on first listen: this debut album is indebted to the spirit and sound of Articles Of Faith; and also, that you are hearing the distinct vocals of Matthias Weeks – known for running Council records and fronting two classic bands of the 1990s: Current and then Calvary. Joining him in Wrong War are various old-dudes from the Chicago scene, united in celebrating their huge enthusiasm for Detroit/DC/Chicago hardcore of the 1980s.
