Vidro – “Glod” LP
A Stockholm based band who caught some attention with their Allt Brinner album of 2018. This is the North American pressing of Vidro’s second 12″, Glod. Hardcore punk that slaps hard and fast, while lifting a few well-chosen tricks from the post-punk scene – or maybe that’s what the effects-laden guitaring has tricked me into thinking. But definitely hardcore punk that has been elevated to another level – in that distinct way that both Beach Impediment (and Adult Crash, Iron Lung, Static Shock etc.) can be relied upon to deliver, breathing new life into old corpses.
