Venom Prison – “Primeval” LP
Death metal that draws from the past and then mixes it with the higher-minded seriousness of modern metal, i.e not a bunch of long haired losers fixating on gore, zombies and bad comic art… (not neccessarily a bad thing, just a bit too much of it over the decades). This third full length is deceptive in that it is, in actual fact, a recent re-recording of the four tracks from their debut 7″ EP of 2015, Primal Chaos, plus five tracks from the earlier self-released demo tape, Defy The Tyrant. I’m sure they had good reason…(?) Also includes two brand new tracks..
