Toxic Reasons – “Independence: 40th Anniversary Millennium Edition” LP with booklet

One of the all-time greats of American punk rock. The debut full-length – released in 1982 – from the Dayton, Ohio band who began life (in 1979) sounding like an American version of DOA , with an added UK street punk vibe (bit of Clash, bit of Blitz) – which makes sense when you consider that the band were tri-nationality, with members originating from England, America and Canada. The gritty punk rock edge was further emphasised by the aggressive, gruff vocal style of their original singer, Ed Pittman, who had left the band by the time of their more well known hardcore albums of the mid 80s. There have been countless re-presses of this album over the decades, and this one is 2022’s “Special 40th Anniversary Edition” version. Restored and remastered, with the original sleeve art, and including a reproduction of the original 12″ x 12″ booklet, plus new liner notes from each member.
