Supertouch – “The Earth Is Flat” LP
The only full-length release by this New York group who were briefly active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. A slower, heavier style of hardcore by comparison to the rage and speed of the era in which this was recorded – absorbing the rockier tendencies of mid period Bad Brains and DC’s Beefeater especially. Reactions amongst hardcore purists were often uncertain at the time, but as Supertouch became increasingly namedropped over the years, with hindsight this now re-emerges as an important, influential album that was ahead of the game. A new pressing, the first in nearly ten tears, and now available on opaque green vinyl with a gatefold cover.
