State Faults – “Resonate/Desperate” LP
The second full-length by this three piece from Santa Rosa, California. Taking the intense, screamy hardcore of the early 2000’s (Yaphet Kotto, City Of Caterpillar), with the addition of more recent skramz (Frameworks, Loma Prieta, Raein) and then opening it up to broader post-hardcore influences (similar to what Touche Amore and Deafheaven have done, but without sounding like either). Recorded at The Atomic Garden Studios with producer Jack Shirley in 2013. This is the 2019 repress.
