The Skull Defekts – “Dances in Dreams Of The Known Unknown” CD
The Swedish avant/psychedelic noise rock group, who were active from 2005 to 2018, and who, at this point in time – 2014 – included Jean-Louis Huhta of Anti-Cimex on percussion/electronics. Also featuring on this album is a guest vocal contribution from Baltimore sage and former Lungfish singer Daniel Higgs. Discordant post-punk guitars lead by heavily percussive beats, and a narrative of unsettling feverishness. Dark, tribal, hypnotic, and bloody marvellous. Unfortunately, only available on CD as the vinyl has long since gone out of press.
