‘Harsh’ and ‘punishing’: both are over-used adjectives in underground music, but nontheless, totaly applicable here. Crucially, the harshness and the punishment dished out by this American three-piece on their second full-length (released in 2018) is tempered with subtle ear-sweetners – buried deep within the thick sludge, and the dizzying feedback, and the thunderous power-violence-grind are plenty of hooks and juicy song writing gifts to reward a fearless listener. Similar to a slowed-down Pig Destroyer, and with the sludge-factor turned-up.
