Hardcore no wave with an element of 90’s Olympia, this Mississippi group has been a part of the local punk scene for nearly three years, but this is their first-time transition from tape cassette format to vinyl. Old school US hardcore sets the musical theme, and beneath the humor and absurdity lies real defiance and an angry attitude. If you get a sinking feeling while listening to Amyl And The Sniffers, as fun as they are, that there’s a slight whiff of phoney, hipster-ism in the air, then this will come as a much needed hardcore punk tonic – Judy And The Jerks have more in common with C.C.T.V. and G.L.O.S.S.
