Prong – “Primitive Origins” LP
Formed in 1986 by a trio of New York/CBGB scensters (including drummer Ted Parsons of Swans infamy), essentially to play Black Flag inspired hardcore thrash, but with an added Celtic Frost metallic edge. Like a marriage of Crumbsuckers and Cro-Mags. Kept in press all these decades later and still a formidable sound that is bruising and beligerent in that distinctly streets-of-New-York way (t’was in their veins). Complete with Sean Taggart sleeve art.
