Poison Idea - “Triple Chocolate Penetration/Hypnoptic” 7″
One of the more obscure Poison Idea recordings, released as part of the Voodoo Doughnut’s monthly singles club. Not sure which P.I. line-up were in on this 2014 session, but Eric “Vegetable” Olson (from the War All the Time era) is given some of the songwriting credits. “Triple Chocolate Penetration” (honestly, I don’t wanna’ know) is a super-sleazy stomper, not quite an essential P.I. track, but… side two’s “Hypnoptic” is a fine, ear-hooky number, reminiscent of Minor Threat’s “Good Guys (Don’t Wear White)”, including some classic “whaaooo’s” from Jerry A.
A warehouse find that is out of press – hand-numbered, and on chocolate coloured vinyl.
