Poison Idea – “The Beast Goes East” LP
The Portland, Oregon titans of American punk, documented here in a live set from New Jeresys’ notorious City Gardens venue, as part of 1990’s “The Beast Goes East” North American tour . Featuring the Feel The Darkness line up, with Jerry A, Pig Champion and Thee Slayer Hippy joined by Aldine Strychnine on second guitar, and bassist Myrtle Tickner. Sourced directly from the house engineer’s cassette, and featuring tracks that appeared on Feel The Darkness, Kings Of Punk, the Filthkick EP, (etc.) plus a cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams”. A deluxe gatefold jacket (designed by John Yates), with liner notes from Tony Rettman (who was in the audience that night) and including a 20-page booklet and an 11.5″ x 22″ poster.
