Orange 9mm – self-titled LP
A reissue of the eponymous debut EP from 1992, featuring Burn vocalist Chaka Malik, joined by the guitarist from post hardcore band Fountainhead (Doghouse Records), and influenced (in their own words) by A Tribe Called Quest, Smashing Pumpkins, and Screaming Trees. A more rockin’ version of Burn with a strong Quicksand groove is perhaps a more useful indicator of the direction in which they were pointing. Available once again, now on yellow vinyl.
