Description
Napalm Death – “Scum” LP
Something of a year zero for world music. Some young Crass punks from Birmingham, tanked-up on Antisect and MDC, caught on to the exciting new extremes in the American underground – Siege, Septic Death, and of course, Repulsion – and inadvertently invented a whole new genre of music. Side one is what it was all about. Side two is merely a by-product. Along with records by Heresy, Concrete Sox, Stupids, ENT – they were good times. “Pressed from Original Tapes. Full Dynamic Range” (whatever the fuck that means….?). Complete with the back-cover band portraits that set alight both the world of photography, and fashion, for decades after.
