Description
Mutant Scum – self-titled LP
A sludgey style of metallic punk, bubbeling and oozing-up out of the sewers of Brooklyn. Visually, imagine a cross between Swap Thing and Gwar. Soundwise, imagine a mix of Buzzoven, Black Tusk and Municipal waste. A concept album themed around a cautionary tale presented by environmental activitsts from S.E.W.E.R. (Society for Estuary Waste Education & Research). An oddball record by an oddball band – destined for a cult following, for sure. With an added bonus of full color sleeve artwork by James Callahan (Mastadon, Muincipal Waste etc).
